What's New at TripLog - September 2026

This month’s updates include improvements to reporting, privacy controls, and team management, along with several helpful fixes across TripLog.

Faster CSV Trip Exports

We’ve made several improvements behind the scenes to reduce processing times and make it easier to download your trip data without long load times. Some tasks that could take half an hour or more to process can now be completed in seconds.

For instance, exporting trips to CSV is now significantly faster, especially when exporting large numbers of trips at once.

Improved Privacy Controls for Mileage Submissions

Organizations can now choose to hide certain trip details from CSV files attached to mileage submissions.

When enabled, information such as location names, addresses, tags, and notes can be hidden from supervisors reviewing submitted mileage, helping protect employee privacy while still allowing managers to review trip records.

To enable this feature, go to the TripLog web app, hover over Manage in the main left menu and select Policies and Settings. Then go to Mileage > Data Controls and select the checkmark next to PII/PHI Data Encryption under Privacy Controls.

View-Only Trip Access for Managers

TripLog now supports view-only access to employee trips for managers. When configured, managers can review trips recorded by the employees they supervise without being able to modify those employees’ trip records.

To enable this, go to the TripLog web app. In the main left menu under Manage, select Users, then select the manager whose permissions you want to adjust. Finally, check the Locked option.

Note that enabling Locked also restricts the manager from editing the same details on their own trips, including dates, times, locations, and mileage.

Other Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Fixed an issue where trips belonging to different users could be incorrectly flagged as potential duplicates if they had the same date and start time.

  • Fixed an issue where receipt image uploads from the web app couldn’t be opened in full size properly.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed users to submit unfinished time entries before clocking out.

  • Expanded translation support for system emails. When translation is enabled, certain TripLog emails will now be delivered in the user’s selected supported language.
